AGOCO Resumes Production at Bed-Sirte Field Well, Capacity Reaches 2,500 Barrels per Day

Arabian Gulf Oil Company – AGOCO has announced the resumption of production at Well C-335 in the Bed-Sirte field after a hiatus since 2022. According to the company’s statement, the well was restarted following maintenance to address equipment issues.

The statement clarified that the operational team successfully recovered the lost equipment and conducted necessary treatments for the productive layers. Post-maintenance productivity tests confirmed that the well is capable of producing 2,500 barrels of oil per day, with a water cut of 7%.

Ahmed El Tayeb El Majdoub, a member of the company’s Exploration, Production, and Information Management Committee, stated: “We commend the efforts of the team for successfully completing this task, reaffirming AGOCO’s commitment to maximizing production and optimizing its resources.”

The statement did not include information on the cost of the maintenance operation or the expected impact of this production increase on the company’s or the country’s total oil output.
