Al-Haddad Discusses Enhanced Military Cooperation with Italian Defense Officials in Tripoli

General Mohamed al-Haddad, Chief of the General Staff in Tripoli, met with Colonel Francesco Marino, the Italian Defense Attaché to Libya, to discuss ways to strengthen military cooperation between the two countries.

According to a statement from the General Staff’s Media Center, the discussions focused on mechanisms for joint military cooperation and reviewed the activities of the Libyan-Italian Military Cooperation Committee.

The meeting was also attended by the Head of the Libyan Coast Guard and Port Security, indicating that maritime cooperation might be a primary area of focus.
