On Tuesday, the acting head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the Government of National Unity, Taher Al-Baour, met with the Head of the European Union Mission in Libya, Nicola Orlando. They discussed the ongoing preparations for an upcoming conference on migration set to take place in Tripoli.
The meeting addressed ways to strengthen cooperation with European countries and emphasized the importance of working on this issue both regionally and internationally. Discussions focused on combating illegal migration, supporting efforts to secure borders, and exploring opportunities for enhanced collaboration and coordination between Libya and the European Union. The activation of memorandums of understanding and agreements to support stability in Libya was also highlighted.
