Ras Ajdir Crossing Crisis Addressed by Dbeibeh, Trabelsi, and Namroush: What’s New?

On Wednesday, Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh of the Government of National Unity convened a meeting to review the final arrangements ahead of the reopening of the Ras Ajdir border crossing with Tunisia.

Deputy Chief of General Staff Salahuddin Namroush provided a detailed report on his visit to the crossing on Tuesday, covering the security situation and coordination among security agencies. He affirmed the full readiness of all security aspects.

Acting Minister of Interior Imad Trabelsi emphasized during the meeting the importance of collaboration between the Ministries of Defense and Interior, highlighting the need for coordinated efforts to manage operations at the crossing.

Prime Minister Dbeibeh underscored the necessity of unified efforts among all institutions to organize operations at the crossing, facilitate procedures for citizens, and coordinate with the Tunisian side on these matters. The attendees confirmed that all necessary preparations have been completed for the reopening of the border crossing.
