“Door-Knocking Campaign” Doubles Number of Women Registered for Municipal Elections

The High National Election Commission (HNEC) has revealed a significant increase in the percentage of women registered in the voter registry, rising to 25% from a previous 15%, thanks to the “Door-Knocking Campaign.”

As part of the “Door-Knocking Campaign,” launched on June 25, 23 electoral awareness ambassadors visited homes and toured residential neighborhoods to engage with women and encourage them to register in preparation for the upcoming municipal elections.

According to HNEC statistics, the total number of registered voters for the first phase of the municipal elections has reached 142,169.
