Haftar and Norland Agree on the Need to Prepare Libya for Elections

Khalifa Haftar, the leader of the “General Command,” discussed the latest political developments in Libya with U.S. Special Envoy Richard Norland and Acting U.S. Ambassador Jeremy Berndt.

Both parties emphasized the importance of continuous efforts to prepare the country for presidential and parliamentary elections. They also expressed their support for the United Nations Mission in Libya’s efforts to reach consensual solutions that would lead to the conduct of these elections.
