Libyan Acting Foreign Minister Meets UN Envoy to Discuss Political Developments

Taher Baour, the acting Foreign Minister of Libya’s Government of National Unity, held talks with Stephanie Khouri, the acting UN Special Representative to Libya, to assess the country’s current political landscape.

During the meeting, Khouri provided an overview of her recent diplomatic engagements across Libya, detailing her interactions with various political factions. She also outlined her proposals for future initiatives aimed at advancing the political process.

Khouri expressed particular approval for the High National Elections Commission’s recent announcement regarding the scheduling of local elections for municipal councils.
