The President of the Presidential Council, Mohamed al-Menfi, discussed several political issues with the Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh, focusing on supporting local efforts among all institutions and coordinating international efforts to back national and municipal elections.
During their meeting today, Thursday, at the Presidential Council’s headquarters, both sides emphasized the necessity of successful municipal elections by supporting the High National Election Commission and unifying various government agencies to coordinate with the Commission.
They agreed on the need for coordination to unify international efforts to support the elections according to fair and implementable laws, respecting the will of the Libyan people in establishing elected legislative and executive bodies.
