Resumption of Flights Between Libya and Jordan Likely Soon, Says Civil Aviation Chief

The Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of the Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission, Haitham Misto, confirmed that a Jordanian delegation, led by the commission, visited Libya to assess the possibility of resuming direct flights between Amman and Tripoli.

Misto stated that the delegation reviewed the infrastructure of Tripoli’s airport and its logistical preparations. The findings of the visit will be discussed in the near future, leading to a decision on the potential resumption of air traffic between Amman and Tripoli, as he told Al-Mamlaka TV.

Misto also mentioned that the delegation’s visit to Libya yielded positive results, indicating that a decision to resume flights between Jordan and Libya might be forthcoming. The commission will brief the Jordanian carrier, Royal Jordanian Airlines, on the visit’s findings and the feasibility of resuming flights.
