Dbeibeh and Norland Discuss Political Developments and Libya-US Cooperation

Libyan Prime Minister Abdulhamid Dbeibeh held discussions with U.S. Special Envoy to Libya Richard Norland and Acting U.S. Ambassador Jeremy Berndt. The talks focused on key issues, including local and international political developments, bilateral cooperation, and efforts to advance the political process.

Dbeibeh reiterated his government’s support for local and international efforts to hold parliamentary and presidential elections under fair and executable laws. He also affirmed support for UN efforts to address political deadlock and move the country towards elections.

The discussions also covered joint projects with the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and ways to enhance cooperation with the Ministry of Local Governance.
