Libyan Airlines has resumed its domestic flights to Ghat Airport, ending a suspension that lasted more than a year and a half. Akram Al-Turki, the Director of Ghat Airport, confirmed the resumption and noted that the airport received its first flight from Mitiga International Airport on Monday.
Al-Turki told Fawasel that flights will operate once a week, every Monday. The hiatus was attributed to unspecified technical issues within the airline, which previously conducted two weekly flights.
Despite the prolonged suspension, Al-Turki assured that the airport has continued to provide regular services to passengers. In addition to the resumed Libyan Airlines flights, Global Aviation Company operates two weekly flights to Ghat Airport on Sundays and Tuesdays.
