Al-Nasr clinched the Libya Premier League title for the third time in its history with a dramatic 2-1 victory over Al-Madina in the fourth round of the hexagonal league held in Rome.
Al-Nasr took the lead in the 13th minute through Zambian player Kelvin Kampamba, who scored from a rebound off Al-Madina’s goalkeeper. Al-Madina equalized in the 87th minute with a header by Malian player Aboubacar Diarra. However, defender Ali Salama secured the win for Al-Nasr with a penalty in stoppage time, bringing their total to 12 points and maintaining a perfect record through four matches.
In another match, Al-Ahly Benghazi moved up to second place with a 2-1 win over Al-Sweihli, raising their tally to 7 points. Meanwhile, Al-Ahly Tripoli suffered their second consecutive defeat, losing 1-0 to Al-Hilal, leaving both teams tied at 6 points.
